The principle and application of the fluxmeter are introduced

A fluxmeter is a magnetic measuring instrument for measuring magnetic flux. Used for measuring space magnetic field and studying magnetic properties of materials. There are three types commonly used: magnetoelectric, electronic and digital integral.

What is digital flux meter?

A magneticflux meter, also called a Maxwell meter, is an instrument used to measure the magnetic induction intensity B and the work of magnetic flux. The measurement of magnetic flux density (that is, magnetic stress intensity) B in the area near the magnetic pole of permanent magnet and electromagnetor geomagnetic field plays an important role in both laboratory work and teaching demonstration experiments.

The principle of the fluxometer

In, when measuring the change of magnetic flux φ in the coil, there is an induced current through the frame winding, causing the frame to produce a certain skewness α, φ is proportional to α, and the magnetic flux (Wb) is φ =(Cα /N)×10 Where C is the impact coefficient of the fluxometer, mWb/ lattice, standard fluxometer, C =1; N is the number of turns of the measurement coil. The magnetic flux is related to the product of the magnetic field strength H at the location and the average cross-sectional area S of the measuring coil, so the magnetic field strength H= φ /S = (Cα /NS)×10(2) magnetic flux is directly measured, and the magnetic field strength is calculated. The digital fluxgate magnetometer needs to be corrected before use to ensure the accuracy of measurement.

The construction of the fluxmeter

Magnetoelectric fluxmeters:

The commonly used magneto-electric system fluxometer is similar in structure to the magneto-electric system galvanometer (see figure), but no resistance torque is set. A soft guide wire without torque is used to introduce the current into the movable coil, so the coil can stay at any position. The fluxmeter is usually equipped with an adjustment mechanism, which can adjust the pointer or cursor to the position on the dial for easy reading of data. When in use, the measuring coil L1 in a constant magnetic field is connected to the moving coil L2 of the fluxmeter. If the magnetic flux in L1 is changed, for example, L1 is moved out of the magnetic field (△ φ = φ), then the electromotive force is induced in L1, so that the pointer of the fluxometer is deflected from the original position α1 to the new position α2. The difference between the two positions (δα =α2-α1) is proportional to the time integral of the induced electromotive force, and thus is proportional to the change of magnetic flux δφ. And △ φ is equal to φ in numerical relation, can determine the magnetic flux φ The magneto - electric flux meter is divided by milliweber, also known as milliweber meter. It is equipped with an adjusting mechanism, which can adjust the pointer to zero or other convenient reading position before reading. However, its sensitivity is low, only 0.1 milliweber/minute. If higher sensitivity is required, an impact galvanometer or an electronic or digital integrating fluxometer should be used.

electronic type fluxmeter:

It is composed of an electronic integrator and an indicator. The integrator is composed of integrated amplifier with resistance and capacitance feedback; The indicator meter can be a mechanical indicator meter or a digital voltmeter. When the connected magnetic flux in the detection coil changes δφ, the electromotive force E is induced in the coil. At this time, the output voltage of the integrator E0 = -Nδφ /RC(n is the number of turns of the detection coil, R is the resistance, and C is the integrating capacitor), and the variation of the connected magnetic flux with the detection coil can be read from the indicator meter. Electronic magnetometers of the 1980s had a sensitivity of about 10 milliWeber/deciliter, much higher than that of magnetoelectric magnetometers, but still lower than that of impact galvanometers.

digital integrating fluxmeter:

It consists of a voltage-frequency converter and a counter. In principle, the magnetoelectric fluxmeter integrates the induced electromotive force of the measuring coil, and the pointer deflection reflects the integration result. Thus, if the combination of an electronic integrator and an indicator meter is used, an electronic fluxmeter can be formed. If the induced electromotive force (E) in L1 is converted into a pulse series directly proportional to it by a voltage frequency converter, and then accumulated and counted by a counter, that is, digital integration, then the calculated value is directly proportional to the change of magnetic flux in L1, so it is called a digital fluxmeter.

The voltage E induced by the flux change δφ in the probe coil is converted into a pulse chain by the voltage-frequency converter, and its repetition rate is proportional to the value of E at different moments. The counter counts the pulse chain, and the total number N is proportional to δφ, so as to obtain the flux change.

What is flux meter used for?

A fluxmeter is a magnetic measuring instrument for measuring magnetic flux. Used for measuring space magnetic field and studying magnetic properties of materials. There are three types commonly used: magnetoelectric, electronic and digital integral.

How do you use a digital flux meter?

Most digital fluxometers are equipped with Helmholtz coils to measure the magnetic flux of magnets. The correct method is: 1. Connect the signal output end of the coil with the signal input end of the fluxmeter, adjust the position of the platform inside the coil so that the height of the platform is suitable for the measurement requirements. The APPROPRIATE HEIGHT IS THAT THE CENTER LINE OF THE SAMPLE IS EXACTLY ALIGNED WITH THE CENTER OF THE viewing hole OF THE coil AFTER THE sample IS placed into the coil. 2. Place the sample in the center of the coil, press the zero-complex button of the fluxometer to make the data of the fluxometer show zero, then remove the magnet, and the data displayed by the fluxometer is the working magnetic flux of the magnet.

What is the use of fluxmeter?

A permometer is a magnetic measuring instrument for measuring magnetic flux. Used for measuring space magnetic field and studying magnetic properties of materials. There are three types commonly used: magnetoelectric, electronic and digital integral. The basic principle flux meter is a magnetic field measuring instrument that determines the magnetic flux according to the deflection degree of the movable frame when measuring the flux change in the coil.

What is difference between gaussmeter and fluxmeter?

First of all, Gaussimeter, also called Tesla meter, is to use Hall element to detect the magnetic induction intensity of a point and a surface on magnetic materials or objects. The reading unit of Gaussimeter is Gauss Gs or millit mT.

Gauss meter is widely used in the surface magnetic measurement of permanent magnet materials; Measurement of magnetic field between magnetic circuits and measurement of space magnetic field generated by magnetic field generating device; Secondly, the fluxmeter uses the principle of electronic integration to detect the overall performance of magnetic materials or objects through coils. The unit of fluxmeter is Weber or milliweber, commonly used are magnetoelectric, electronic and digital integration fluxmeter. Common unit: mWb, Wb. The fluxometer is used to test the magnetic flux of the permanent magnet by using the pull coil; The magnetic moment of permanent magnet is measured by Helmholtz coil. The whole magnetic flux of rotor and stator of motor was measured by closed-circuit tooling.
